Breed: Domestic Shorthair

Description: Dexter is a sleek and friendly young black cat who, along with his three siblings, was abandoned at a local park in Abbeville. Despite such a rough start, Dexter has grown into a confident, playful boy with a big heart. He’s neutered, litter box trained, and gets along well with other cats. Dexter enjoys batting at toys, exploring sunny windowsills, and curling up for snuggles once playtime is done. He’s currently thriving in the loving foster home of Kathryn McDowell and is ready to bring joy, energy, and affection to his forever family.
If you are not adopting at this time, you can also sponsor a kitten or cat through a donation: https://abbevillehumanesociety.org/donation
If you can't foster or adopt, we hope you can financially support our efforts. We are funded only by donations, and all of our workers and board are volunteers.
We ask that you give what you can. Every contribution helps us continue rescuing and caring for Abbeville’s homeless animals.
Thank you for your kindness and compassion!
