The purposes of the Abbeville County Humane Society (ACHS) are to educate people about animals and their care, to promote animal well-being, and to raise public awareness for the betterment of animals in our community. To achieve these purposes ACHS will:
a. Promote education of the general public regarding the proper care of pets and the problem of unwanted domestic animals.
b. Promote the adoption of homeless dogs and cats to qualified homes.
c. Assist with raising funds to support county animal shelter in Abbeville County.
d. Cooperate with law enforcement agencies on their activities related to animals. e. Collaborate with individuals and groups with similar purposes.
